Three card poker

It is a poker based game which is also called as tricard poker. This is the most common game played in casinos. It is an American version of the British game Brag. The origin of the game dated back over three hundred years ago from a game Primero in which only three cards were used. Earlier the game was known as Post-and-Pair and then as Brag. This game is very much similar to the game Teen Patti which is played in India with little difference. In three card poker straight flush and three of a kind ranking are interchanged while in Teen Patti there is a merging between high card and none. Actually three card poker consists of two games pairplus and ante-and-play. It is up to player whether to choose both or single game to play.

1. Pairplus: In this game the payouts player is simply betting on the cards and got the payout in hand for each pair.

2. Ante-and-play: For this game player before getting the cards place an anti bet. After that player can play accordingly. Player can lose the anti bet by folding the card or can raise the anti bet with equal amount of money. There are three possibilities that may exist while playing this game. If the dealer is not qualified that means the dealer does not have queen or better in his hands. If so then player is paid out even money. But if the dealer is qualified then the player wins only if he has higher value than dealer and the third possibility is if the dealer has higher value then he takes the ante and play bets. The general strategy used to play this game is raise the bet when the player holds the unsuited Queen 6-4 otherwise fold the bet.
